Pe'er and Azarenka lose in Australian Open doubles final
Duo downed by Bondarenko sisters 6-2, 1-6, 4-6; Pe'er: "It's frustrating that we had such a lapse."

Shahar Pe'er and her Belarusian partner Victoria Azarenka lost on Friday to Alona and Kateryna Bondarenko 6-2, 1-6, 4-6 in the women's doubles final of the Australian Open.
At the outset it looked as if Pe'er and Azarenka would be setting the tone, as the two won the first set of the encounter. In the following sets, however, they proved no match for the Ukranian sisters.
"It felt good to play in the final, but it's still disappointing to lose," a crestfallen Pe'er said after the game. "A final is a final and I hope that it will help me develop in the singles circuit."
"We played a first good set but we were no good in the second one. It is frustrating that we had such a significant lapse [in our play] in a Grand Slam final," she said.
On Saturday, Israelis Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich face Michael Llodra and Arnaud Clement in the men's title match.
