The conservative commentator accused US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee of 'working for Israel' during a recent interview at the Ben-Gurion Airport.

Israel Airports Authority confirmed that Carlson was "politely asked a few routine questions, in accordance with standard procedures applied to many travelers" in a late Wednesday X/Twitter post.

A spokesperson for the US embassy in Israel told The Daily Mail that Carlson's claims were inaccurate and that he had only received the standard passport-control questions.

Khalloul extended an invitation to the right-wing American commentator in early February, hoping to shed light on the true experience of Christians in Israel, but Carlson had failed to respond.

The interview came after a public back-and-forth between Carlson and Ambassador Huckabee and was conducted inside the Ben-Gurion Airport complex, sources told The Jerusalem Post.
