It’s the second time this month the UAE has called for the UNSC to meet on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Price said that while the US' immediate goal is not to bring the parties together to negotiate a solution, it aims to support them as they work to deescalate tensions.
The conversation took place ahead of the expected UN Security Council vote on a resolution regarding Israeli settlements drafted by the UAE.
