Emergency assistance for new immigrants as Hamas war rages

Despite the ongoing conflict, about 700 immigrants are expected to arrive in Israel next week.

Israel's Aliyah and Integration Ministry has bolstered its support network, launching a specialized information center for new immigrants and returning residents.

According to a statement by the ministry, MK Ofir Sofer, Aliyah and Integration Minister and Attorney Avichai Cohen, the director general have emphasized the urgency of providing optimal support, especially during these challenging times. In a bid to accommodate the influx, procedures are being streamlined and more staff are being added at the Ben Gurion Airport branch of the Ministry.

700 immigrants to arrive 

Despite the ongoing conflict, about 700 immigrants are expected to arrive in Israel next week. Recognizing the immediate challenges they may face, the Ministry is not only prepared to facilitate their integration but has also established a psychological support helpline available in multiple languages, including Russian, Spanish, Amharic, English, and French.
