As it seems possible that a US attack on Iran may lead to another Iranian attack on Israel, there’s very little any of us can do except stock up on groceries and try to laugh about it all.

The embassy's warning does not carry any specific instructions beyond a general raised level of awareness and preparedness for US citizens in Israel.

The soldier is alleged to have been in contact with Iranian intelligence forces since some time in July 2025, and to have carried out tasks for them in exchange for financial compensation.

US officials stated that President Trump sent out invitations to the countries he personally selected to be on the Gaza Board of Peace.

"All the signals are that a US attack is imminent, but that is also how this administration behaves to keep everyone on their toes," a Western military official said.

"We have witnessed a failure of leadership that has harmed the reputation and eroded public confidence in West Midlands Police and policing more broadly," said interior minister Shabana Mahmood.
