The Batsheva Dance Company will take Ohad Naharin's "Telophase" to New York for three performances as part of the 10th annual Lincoln Center Festival (LCF) from July 20-22. Festival director Nigel Redden saw the work when it premiered at Timna in the fall and promptly grabbed it for the festival, saying that it showed, "Naharin and the company at the height of their powers." Naharin's "Mammoths," which showed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music last November, was named as one of the 10 best dance events of 2005 by the New York Times. Naharin has twice won the dance world's most prestigious prize, the Bessie, for "Virus in 2002 and again in 2003 for "Anaphase" that was also performed at LCF.
