If you fancy spicing up your life with a bit of outdoor suspense, Caesarea is the place to be. For the next four Wednesdays, the 7th annual Caesarea Nights program will host screenings of four of Alfred Hitchcock's most celebrated offerings.
The series kicks off this week with the 1960 classic Psycho, starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh, followed by Vertigo (with James Stewart and Kim Novak), The Man Who Knew Too Much (Stewart and Doris Day) and Rear Window (Stewart and Grace Kelly).
All of the screenings will take place near the waterfront, and the ambience will be enhanced by soundtracks from the movies played over the PA system in the ancient port area. In addition, street actors will reenact scenes from some of the films and human-size inflatable figures of relevant female Hitchcock characters in thematic costumes will be positioned around the site.
