The Natalia Sats Children's Theater (NSCT) from Moscow is bringing its 50 dancers to Israel to perform Tchaikovsky's beloved ballet, "Swan Lake," with prima ballerina Natalia Ledovskaya in the title role. Sats Theater general director Vladimir Kirilov pared from the ballet several famous bits and pieces, leaving a leaner version that won plaudits from the critics when the production premiered in Moscow. Born in 1905, Sats was already running a Moscow children's theater at the age of 18. She founded NSCT after her return to Russia in the Sixties and its logo was Maeterlinck's Blue Bird for which her father, Ilya Sats, had written the music. Performances run from December 18-24 in Ashkelon (18/12), Jerusalem (19/12), Beersheva (20/12), Netanya (21/12), Tel Aviv (22/12), Karmiel (23/12 and Haifa (24/12)
