ACUM award recipients announced

Shlomo Artzi, Dudu Barak, Michael Wolpe and Yitzhak Ben-Ner will receive lifetime achievement awards.

Shlomo Artzi, Dudu Barak, Michael Wolpe and Yitzhak Ben-Ner will receive lifetime achievement awards at the ACUM Awards on March 29, according to a statement released Monday. The prize is one of the country's most prestigious awards, and it's worth NIS 30,000. Artzi was chosen for the Naomi Shemer composer award, Barak for the Ehud Manor songwriter award, Wolpe for the concert music award and Ben-Ner for the Yehuda Amichai poet/writer award. In addition, Hava Habushi will be honored for children's literature, Dorit Rabinyan will get a literary award, Rivka Raz will be given a prize for poetry and Levana Mushon will be awarded for fiction writing.
