Radical Islam is, in truth, the Normative Islam.

When will we believe the threat in the words of Mohammed?  When will we believe the Muslims’ word when they proclaim their intention to kill us?  When will we believe that they proclaim their intention to wipe Israel off the face of the map?  When will we believe that they want to see the entire world including Europe and America, under submission to Islam and Muslim law?

After the Fort Hood killings of a dozen innocent people by a Muslim traitor, the Boston Marathon killings by two Muslim immigrant brothers and the beheading of a British soldier in May by two Muslim men in broad daylight, we have got to ask, what is there about Islam that stirs up these horrendous murderous actions?
We cannot forget the unbelievably horrible 9/11 destruction of the twin towers in New York or the destruction on the Pentagon in Washington, when more than 3,000 innocent people were killed.  We cannot forget the bombings of the train stations in Spain and England when scores of innocents were killed.  It is difficult for those of us who practice true Christianity to believe that human beings could be so blatantly murderous to plot and kill so many innocent people with no second thought or regrets.  They show joy when these murderous deeds are carried out.
Then too, we have to wonder why all the rest of the Muslim world heartily supports all of these incredible Muslim killings with massive demonstrations or at least with broad smiles.  It appears that not many Muslims disagree with what the murderers have done.  We cannot ignore how so many Muslim leaders keep loudly and unashamedly declaring their intentions to take over Europe and to “wipe Israel and the United States off the face of the Map”.
Why do so many Western political leaders keep trying to tell us that Islam is a “religion of peace”?  Bombings, explosions and mass killings are certainly not demonstrations of peace.  Do our leaders support them or are they so afraid of them that they continually insist on “political correctness” most often at the expense of Christians.  Will they insist on PC all the way to the grave?
According to true Christian values, peace means love, kindness and compassion.  The Islamic definition of peace is to see the entire world controlled by Islam and cruel Islamic Sharia law.  Their kind of peace has most of the world in anxiety today and our Western leaders are doing little to counteract it.
Those who have made it their business to understand the fundamentals of Islam know that there really are no moderate Muslims in that they all are taught in the Qur’an to hate all infidels (non-Muslims) and to believe that jhad killings are perfectly acceptable and actually ordered by Mohammed himself. So, is there such a thing as “moderate Islam” or “normative Islam” as some want to call it?  Who is speaking for “normative Islam?”  We will not argue that there are possibly millions of Muslims who are peace-loving, who abhor violence and who are repulsed by the actions of the Fort Hood and Boston Marathon killers.  The questions come, are these people being true to the values of the Muslim religion and why are they not condemning the violence?  Why are they not speaking up? Why are they remaining silent?
Why do we never hear a universal repudiation of Islamic terrorism from Muslim leaders?  There are two possible reasons.  First, Muslims who may want to speak out against the killings fear for their lives.  Secondly, Muslim leaders consider killings to be the valid expression of Islamic jhad, sanctioned by their supposedly holy Koran.  This reminds us of some Muslim protesters in England a few years back who said, “How dare you call us terrorists.  We will kill you!”
From a Christian perspective, we might believe in fighting wars to protect the interest and freedoms of our country, but they are military campaigns, not holy wars.  Christians join our American military forces to help protect our country.  But no one thinks it is his Christian duty to kill Muslims, or that we fight wars to advance the Gospel.
There is something far weightier to consider.  Yes, there is widespread and rampant Islamic persecution of Christians today in countries like Egypt, Iran, Iraq, northern Nigeria and southern Sudan.  Christian churches and businesses are being destroyed and Christians are being slaughtered.  History tells us that this has happened before.  It took place in what some have called “the Golden Age of Islam”.  So Islam has been like this for many centuries.
Historian John Philip Jenkins writes, “As late as the eleventh century, Asia was still home to at least a third of the world’s Christians and perhaps a tenth of all Christians lived in Africa.  What happened to this thriving, intellectually vibrant Christianity?  It was virtually wiped out by violent Islamic persecution, especially during the fourteenth century, due to ethnic and religious cleansing.”  Islam became known as “the religion of the sword,” and for good reason.
It certainly seems that “radical Islam” is in truth the “normative Islam” of today.  At the very least, Islam has a potentially violent core that is deeply associated with the fundamental principles of its violent faith.  This radical and violent core, with all of its terrorists and murderous intent, actually controls the entire religion today, as far as the world is concerned.  If they continue as they are, and they talk and act as if they will, another World War may be inevitable.
Why can’t our Western leaders believe this and why won’t they take a stand against it?  Are they leading in fear and ignorance?  Are they leading in extreme “political correctness” until they get us to the point of no return?  Wake up, people before it is too late!
