A young couple + a baby girl lives in the house. This is the client's childhood home in Neve Tzedek. After her mother died, she continued to live at home with her partner until they moved to New York for several years. When they returned to Israel they decided to renovate the house, when during the renovation they were expecting their first child. They wanted to preserve the color of the house and not erase the memories the owner of the house has of her childhood landscape. On the other hand, of course, they wanted to refresh it and design it to fit the life of their young family. Interior designer Anna Weil was chosen for the project.

The house is in a magical place in Neve Tzedek, very old, 3 stories (first floor 90 square meters, second 70 square meters and third 60 square meters).

Built in the hippie style that characterized the houses that were built when the neighborhood was established. The owners of the house knew it like the back of their hand their hand.

The owner of the house had strong sentiments for the house. She grew up in it and every inch of it overflowed with emotions and memories. After their return to Israel and because they knew they would automatically become new parents, they decided it was time to renovate the house and in accordance with their new needs. The goal was to preserve as much as possible the magical character of the house .

Since the house contains 3 separate floors, the couple's emphasis was on a public space that would contain a large kitchen, a dining area and a reception area that would improve the daily life of the family. It was clear to them that as a young family, they would spend most of their time together on the public floor. Interior designer Anna Weil explains: "From all of this, we made a very clear decision to preserve the past as much as possible. Meanwhile, the concrete floor (in combination with painted concrete tiles) was not replaced.

Likewise, the wooden windows on this floor that so characterize the construction in Neve Tzedek and its surroundings , which are recovered by a carpenter. "The couple, who returned to Israel after a long stay abroad, realized that adaptation requires time. Hence the decision to allow them to integrate into their home naturally, not to overload or plan everything, to leave room for breathing so that upon adapting to the new life they would know and understand better what is right for them. In my opinion, this is true to a certain extent for every project. Here it was very noticeable and defined. Meanwhile, the anchors of the house and other carpentry details were designed. The landlords wanted to give time for the rest of the details."

On the public floor, a spacious kitchen was designed that combined walnut wood facades with stone-colored facades. At the entrance to the floor, a wooden chest was designed and above it open wooden shelves for books and tools that the owner of the house creates in ceramics.

The room floor was redesigned because it was planned to be the children's floor. Two children's rooms and a bathroom were planned on this floor. A utility closet was designed in the foyer that also contains the washing machine. Each bedroom has a balcony that brings in a lot of air and light. This floor is roofed with wooden parquet connected by MODY.

The third floor is the attic intended for the parents' room. The floor contains a spacious bedroom, a closet and a bathroom, which were designed and purchased at MODY. This room has a balcony overlooking the sea. The bedroom is on the third floor under the roof and therefore has a sloped ceiling.

The room is covered with parquet. At its end is the bathroom and the closet. The slope of the roof drops low at the end of the room, so a storage closet was designed in the lower area with the toilet in the center. There is a skylight in the ceiling of the bathroom that ventilates the room. The staircase is made of black concrete and the original railing has been preserved.
