Impact of war: Half of public gained weight - free training suggestions

For five months, Israel has been in a state of combat that puts each of us in a state of stress and anxiety, whether it is in relationships, parenting, studies or work.

From the results of a national representative survey, conducted a week ago by the Rushink Institute for the Port of Tel Aviv, among 502 respondents aged 18-64, it was found that since the outbreak of the Iron Swords War, most Israelis have gained weight.

In the survey, respondents were asked if and how much they thought they had gained weight since October 7. Over half of the participants in the sample (56%) stated that they had gained weight since the beginning of the war and 35% stated that they had not gained weight.

Of those who stated that they gained weight, 26% stated that they gained up to 2 kg since October 7, 24% stated that they gained between 2-5 kg, 7% gained between 5-7 kg and 5% gained more than 7 kg "C in their weight during the course of combat. By the way, the age group in which the biggest jump in weight was recorded is 41-50 (73% of the sample). When examining the weight gain between the sexes, it appears that among the women, 62% answered that they had gained weight since October 7.

compared to 49% of men. Did the residents of the north or the south gain more weight compared to the other regions of the country?

When looking at the data for the weight gain of the 5 kg or more weight category, those who star in the first places are the residents of the south (15%) and the north (14%). Another question asked in the survey is what activity would you do today in order to lose weight? About a quarter of the respondents answered who intend to exercise free of charge outdoors, 28% of the respondents intend to increase their training in a gym or in an aerobics studio, 15% will start exercising at home and 12% answered that they intend to sign up for some kind of sports club, while 10% will not take any action to lose weight.
