50 Years of Self-Expression: Adidas Originals' New Campaign

Adidas sneakers have stories. The brand's new campaign celebrates its Originals line with the message: "We Gave the World an Original You Gave Us a Thousand Back".

Behind the popular models "Samba", "Gazelle", and "Superstar" by Adidas, there is a story:

"Samba," originally a soccer shoe, over the years has become an integral part of the fashion world. The "Superstar" model started on the basketball court and is considered one of the most beloved models in history, while the "Gazelle" was born for running and today is a fashion symbol. These iconic models, born in the world of sports, were adopted and expressed in the world of fashion and culture.

The campaign, part of which may include a historical change in the Originals logo, will be accompanied by a series of videos on the brand's history, from its creation to its connection to the younger generation and the process of development and advancement of Adidas Originals.

As is customary for the brand, iconic figures like French football legend Zinedine Zidane, former footballer David Beckham, and actress Jenna Ortega are also participating in the current campaign.

The campaign in Israel chose to feature characters from different cultural worlds who brought their authenticity and personal stories, including: superstar Anna Zack from the world of music and fashion, chef Eyal Shani who connects culinary culture to fashion in his daily life, international actor Tomer Capon who talks about the challenges in his field, solo musician Lola Marsh Yael Shoshana, and DJ Noya Asraf who broke into the nightlife scene of Tel Aviv.

Fighting plastic waste

The adidas company and the three stripes logo have been the home of athletes and leading cultural icons in the world for many years. adidas' core belief is that through sports, lives can be changed, and its goal is to break down barriers of sport on and off the field.

This vision is implemented by adidas every day through the development of unique technologies, close collaboration with various global communities, partnerships with content creators, artists, and athletes of various kinds.

In recent years, the sports giant has put the global fight against plastic waste at the forefront by integrating recycled plastic fabric fibers into its products, helping to reduce pollution in the oceans. In addition, the company emphasizes the use of other recycled and sustainable materials alongside environmentally friendly production processes.
