The fourth malfunction of Meta platforms is over: after almost three hours of disruptions, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook applications are back to normal.

As I recall, this is Meta's fourth malfunction in about a month. Surfers all over the world reported from 21:00 Israel time this evening about failures in applications and websites.

The Meta company released a message stating that they are aware of the WhatsApp glitch and are working to fix it, but did not address the disruptions on the other platforms. The DownDetector crash site now reports regular activity of the platforms. Meta did not explain during the last weeks the reason for the repeated malfunctions.

Also, the Meta company addressed for the first time the widespread malfunction in WhatsApp.

In a tweet, the WhatsApp subsidiary said: "We know that some of you are experiencing disruptions now, we are working on a solution for everyone as soon as possible." In the last hour, as mentioned, the application has returned to regular activity, but there are still global disruptions in the Instagram application that does not allow uploading some of the content.
