Cognac: Hennessy XO

In 1870, Maurice Hennessy crafted this Cognac for his close friends, introducing a new category to the world. Grapes selected for this XO age in relatively young barrels, chosen for their strength and aging potential. Hennessy XO offers sweet fruit notes with a warm, intriguing sensation, gradually revealing complex flavors of aged grapes, tantalizing hints of black pepper, and quality chocolate. Its warming presence builds until it breaks, leaving a full, sensory experience. Thanks to oak and vanilla, its finish resonates with all preceding tastes and sensations. You'll fall for it instantly. Price: NIS 899.

Whiskey: Glenmorangie Signet

The idea behind this whiskey, as Glenmorangie's website tells, struck Dr. Bill Lumsden, the master distiller, while sipping Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. The coffee's flavors lingered, inspiring him to infuse them into whiskey. Beyond coffee and mocha notes, it's intensely roasted and aged in three casks: ex-bourbon for creaminess, sherry for sweetness, and new charred oak for spice. Though ageless, it incorporates some of the oldest barrels in the warehouses. The result: a velvety explosion of flavors, bitterness from mocha, a hint of spices, and waves of dark chocolate mingling with buttery sweetness. It's not an everyday whiskey, but then again, you don't celebrate love every day. Price: NIS 990.

Champagne: Dom Perignon

Did the Benedictine monk Dom Perignon invent Champagne? Not quite! But he contributed to its development, making it popular a century after his time. Dom Perignon, living between 1638-1715 in northeastern France, introduced the use of cork stoppers instead of wood pieces, tied with oily threads, preventing bottles from bursting. Produced by Moët & Chandon only in excellent vintages, all grapes for this Champagne are harvested in a single year, resulting in a harmonious, elegant drink with a full body, high acidity, and a not-so-modest price. But love knows no bounds. Price: around NIS 1000.

Also: Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial

There's no need to introduce Moët & Chandon Champagne. It's one of the most classic and festive drinks you can think of. Occasionally, the house releases special editions like the current one, inspired by Epernay's landscapes, launching towards the end of the civil year. It's a balanced blend of Champagne's three grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay, offering refined flavors and an elegant structure that's simply irresistible. Price: NIS 199-229.
