Are you going to paint the house or buy an electrical product soon?

Two important surveys leading up to Passover reveal the priorities of Israelis when it comes to painting a house and buying a new electrical product. The data may surprise you.

54% of Israelis are more at home since the outbreak of the Swords of Iron Operation. This is according to a survey carried out for the Tambour company through the SAPIO research institute, which asked to examine the various trends in the house painting process for Passover. The survey, in which 502 participants aged 21 and over, who live independently and are a representative sample of the population in Israel, took part - that about a third of Israelis renovate, paint or design the house, to ease their feelings.

52% of the participants in the survey answered that they painted their house during the last two years. 10% stated that they had never painted their house. About half (49%) of those who painted in the last two years, painted the whole house and about a quarter (24%) only painted the living room. Among those planning to paint the house, the preferred shadeIt is white (60%), but at a slightly lower rate than the measurement carried out a year ago (67%).

A slightly higher proportion (19%) intend to use colors in shades of cream, compared to the previous survey (16%) and a small increase is noticeable among those who prefer other shades. In answer to the question, "After painting the house, did you feel differently than before painting, and what feelings arose in you after painting?" - The answers were: about 90% replied that they felt a change in feeling, when they mainly mentioned feelings of renewal (60%), cleanliness (55%) and freshness (50%). About a quarter (23%) felt calm. 10% reported that they felt no change in feeling after painting the house.

The survey also revealed that more than half plan to paint their house or parts of it in the near future. The survey examined the most important parameters in choosing a paint brand for the home. The respondents stated that it is most important to them that the color be of high quality (73%) and that the price be attractive (64%). Other important parameters are odor-reduced paint (34%) and ecological paint (26%). For about a fifth it is important to get samples of the color before they paint.

In the meantime, in a survey conducted by the electrical appliance brand Beko through the Rushink Research Institute, it emerged that a quarter of Israelis plan to purchase electrical appliances and more than a quarter of them plan to pay with vouchers. According to the survey, about a quarter of the respondents reported an intention to buy electrical appliances for the upcoming Passover holiday, with 14% of them replying that the main reason is the promotions and discounts that take place around the holiday.

The survey data show that 77% of the respondents testified that the main consideration in choosing an electrical product is an attractive price, 66% answered that a reliable brand is the main consideration when choosing an electrical product, 53% stated that service and warranty influence their decision when choosing the electrical product they will purchase and 37 % replied that low power consumption is a main consideration for them.

For 26% of Israelis, the main consideration in choosing an electrical product is functions and advanced technology, and 23% said that the product's design and appearance are a key consideration. The segmentation shows that in the run-up to Passover - 25% intend to purchase a new refrigerator, 20% will purchase a baking oven, 19% will upgrade to a TV, 18% will purchase a washing machine, 14% will buy a tumble dryer, 12% a dishwasher, 12% will refresh the kitchen with new stoves and -35% of respondents plan to purchase a small electrical product.

502 respondents participated in the survey, constituting a nationally representative random sample of the population in Israel aged 18 and over.
