After seeing discounts on electric cars in the last month, such as MG and Maxus models, that are already in the country, a new electric model that will arrive in January is being marketed in the country. How much will it increase in price when considering the rise in purchase tax and acceptance of the increase due to technological updates?

The answer: only in the value of the tax increase. The new Audi Q4 e-Tron 45, which replaces the original Q4 E-Tron 45, increases by NIS 10,000 and will start at NIS 320,000. The price of the Sportback version, the crossover coupe, increased by NIS  11,000 to NIS 346,000.

The main innovation is a new electric engine that was first launched in the Volkswagen ID.7, with a power of 285 horsepower and a maximum torque of 55.6 kg/m, compared to 204 horsepower and 31.5 kg/m of the outgoing model. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, which was a bit relatively slow for the price and competitors, shortened from 8.5 to 6.7 seconds in the rear-wheel-drive version that will be released. The maximum speed increased from 160 to 180 km/h.

The 77 kWh battery received a new management system and improved cell chemistry, extending the combined driving range by an additional 4 km to 525 km in the base version and to 535 km in the more aerodynamic Sportback version. The maximum charging speed remained unchanged at 135 kilowatts.

The basic equipment level includes a central 10.1-inch multimedia screen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, audio system with 8 speakers, electric sunroof, front seats with electric adjustment, climate control with rear seat outlets, electric tailgate opening and smart key. The vehicle comes with a charging cable for public AC stations.

The Tech Pack adds a head-up display with augmented reality technology, original navigation system, LED Matrix lighting, 360-degree camera, traffic assistance system, and Sonos audio system with 10 speakers 580W.

Safety systems include autonomous emergency braking (only in forward driving), adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, off-road vehicle alert and prevention, rear collision warning, front and rear parking sensors, reverse camera, and automatic high beam.

Even after the tax hike, the Q4 e-tron will remain cheaper than the Mercedes EQA (from NIS 360,000), BMW iX1 (from NIS 350,000), and Genesis GV60 (from NIS 340,000). However, the Volvo XC40 electric will be cheaper than it (from NIS 310,000).
