1 killed in Arab-Israeli town during riots involving police

A 20-year-old man was killed on Tuesday during an incident involving security forces and demonstrators in the Arab-Israeli village of Kfar Kassem.
Hundreds of demonstrators threw stones at the village police station, leaving one police officer lightly wounded. As a result, security forces fired shots into the air. Two police cars were also set on fire.
Security forces are preparing to enter the city as the riots continue. MK Ahmad Tibi (Joint List) arrived to help end the riots.
The incident started as a demonstration against a crime wave in the village, which has recently claimed the lives of six people. The demonstration escalated when a large number of young people began to riot and set fire to the police cars.
