'100 patients in Haiti will die if not evacuated'

The US military hashalted flights carrying Haitian earthquake victims to the United Statesbecause of an apparent cost dispute, and a doctor warned that someinjured patients faced imminent death if the flights don't resume.

However, Dr. Barth Green, adoctor involved in the relief effort in Port-au-Prince, warned that hispatients needed to get to better hospitals.

"We have 100critically ill patients who will die in the next day or two if we don'tMedevac them," said Green, chairman of the University of Miami's GlobalInstitute for Community Health and Development.
