22-year-old arrested for sending death threat to PM Netanyahu

A 22-year-old man was arrested by Jerusalem Police on Saturday morning on suspicion of sending a death threat to the Prime Minister by way of an online form on his office's website.

In court on Sunday, police said that they reached the suspect largely due to the fact that the message included his personal ID number. The suspect's attorney argued that the email could have been sent by someone else, and that unless they have the exact IP address of the computer it was sent from, or some other way to prove it came from his suspect, then there is no reason to hold him.

Police asked for a five day remand extension on Sunday, but the presiding judge agreed to only 24 hours and ordered he undergo a psychiatric exam.
