35,000 electric cars to be sold in Israel in 2011

A major Israeli player in the global electric car initiative has announced that his company plans to sell 35,000 electric cars in the country in 2011. Shai Agassi, founder and CEO of Better Place, said at the Frankfurt Auto Show that his company would introduce several electric models of the Renault cars to Israel. Agassi said that by 2020, 50 percent of cars sold in Israel would be electric.
