5.1 Richter scale earthquake strikes Greek island of Kos

The Athens Geodynamic Institute says an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.1 has struck in the eastern Aegean Sea, off the holiday island of Kos.
Authorities on the island say there are no reports of damage or injuries.
The institute says Friday's undersea quake occurred at 11:11 a.m. (0811GMT) with an epicenter 310 kilometers (190 miles) southeast of Athens.
Friday's earthquake off the Greek island comes after a quake Thursday in the Gulf of Eilat.
