70 millimeters of precipitation fall on Mount Hermon in past day

Two days of rain have brought Northern Israel a welcome respite from the warm, dry winter season that has already managed to set high-temperature records.
According to the Israel Water Authority on Wednesday, 70 millimeters of rain and snow came down in the Mt. Hermon area in the past few days. In the morning, the ski resort at the site reported that snow was accumulating but began to melt as the day went on.
In the Upper Galilee and Golan Heights, the authority reported rainfall ranging between 35 to 40 mm.
The rain helped the Kinneret rise by 1 centimeter and it now stands at -212.5 meters below sea level. To be considered at full capacity, the sea needs an additional 3.7 meters of water.
