Abbas shuns Oslo, hands diplomatic passports to fugitives

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas allegedly violated the Oslo Accords by granting diplomatic passports to Lebanese fugitives wanted by INTERPOL, Channel 2 uncovered on Tuesday. According to the report, Abbas only gave the passports to Lebanese citizens who also held a Palestinian ID card.
The two fugitives were wanted by Lebanese authorities to be extradited to Kazakhstan. The suspects were charged with carrying out terrorist plots, kidnapping, organizing a crime ring, and racketeering.
It is still unclear why Abbas gave the two men passports, and the two already held Kazakh passports.
