Akirov: Mamilla project built by law, not by bribery

Alrov building and development company owner Alfred Akirov denied on Sunday morning that he had bribed former prime minister Ehud Olmert to approve the expansion of the Mamilla venture, telling Army Radio that prestigious project was “built according to the law.”
Akirov was responding to an accusation made several days ago and sounded again on Army Radio by journalist Yoav Yitzhak on Sunday, according to which Alrov paid Olmert to ensure the continuation of the project.
A statement from Akirov’s representatives read that the Jerusalem District Court ordered that NIS 100 million be paid to the Alrov company in compensation for major construction delays, thereby negating any allegations of bribery.
