Al-Qaida-linked group claims Baghdad bombing at TV station

BAGHDAD  — An al-Qaida-linked group claimed responsibility for a Monday bombing targeting the Baghdad offices of the pan-Arab television station Al-Arabiya in a statement released Thursday.
The statement described the Dubai-based channel as "corrupt," and said the operation was carried out by a "hero of Islam."
The Arabic-language channel is one of the most popular in the Middle East but is perceived by insurgents as being pro-Western.
At least six people were killed in Monday's bombing at the channel's headquarters.
