Dozens of Palestinians, as well as Israeli and foreign left-wing activists, clashed with security forces in two anti-security fence demonstrations west of Ramallah on Friday afternoon. One border policeman, who sustained light injuries to his knee from a stone hurled by the protesters in Ni'lin, was evacuated to the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Tzrifin. The protesters in the villages of Ni'lin and Bil'in held giant scales to symbolize, what they called, international law's disregard for the Palestinians' rights. Some 120 demonstrators in Ni'lin and about 70 in Bil'in hurled stones at security forces, who responded using crowd dispersal measures.
