Arab League convenes in Cairo to discuss Ramat Shlomo

Members of the Arab League convened in Cairo on Wednesday evening in order to discuss Israel’s decision to build 1,600 housing units in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo.
The last-minute emergency meeting was convened to determine whether the Arab League was right to endorse US-moderated proximity talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
A full-scale Arab League summit is scheduled to take place in Libya later this month.
