A 16-year-old Ukrainian immigrant, who fled the war-torn country with his family to Israel, drowned in Acre's Argaman Beach on Sunday.
The teen was with his friends at the beach when he went missing at around 7:30 p.m., after all lifeguard stations at the beach were closed.
Following a search, he was found and carried back to the shore, where resuscitation attempts by paramedics at the scene were unsuccessful.
