Friendly fire incidents in Israel

According to an unconfirmed report by Hatzalah, the suspect fired at the Israeli after mistakingly identifying him as a Palestinian terrorist.

Another Israeli 'friendly-fire' incident occurred in August when St.-Sgt. Natan Fitoussi was shot dead by a fellow soldier who misidentified Fitoussi, near the West Bank Palestinian city of Tulkarm.

Another similar incident in January of this year saw two IDF soldiers killed in what the military called a “serious” friendly fire accident in the Jordan Valley.

This is a developing story.
