IDF strikes Hamas underground rocket factory in Gaza Strip

The Israeli airstrikes followed the IDF's interception of a rocket that had been fired from Gaza.

The IDF struck an underground rocket factory in the Gaza Strip Sunday night in response to a rocket that was fired toward Israel on Saturday, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.

The strike was followed by four rockets shot toward Israel from Gaza.

The IDF report added that its tanks unit attacked Palestinian Islamic Jihad military posts on the border with Gaza.

On Saturday, sirens were activated and a red alert was given in Kibbutz Nahal Oz, near the Gaza Strip, after a rocket was launched. However, it was intercepted by the IDF.

The Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council spokesperson stated that no impact was detected in the area and no damage or injuries occurred.
