The nationwide municipal strike will continue to Sunday, according to a Thursday evening statement from the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel released after an emergency meeting.
As a protest measure, heads of various municipal authorities are planning to demonstrate with garbage trucks outside the 11 a.m. government meeting on Sunday.
The Federation of Local Authorities in Israel also announced on Thursday afternoon that school would be in session on Friday, in light of the agreements reached between the Teachers' Union chairman Arnon Bar-David and the Treasury.
