Assad: Arab League doesn't represent the Arab people

Syrian President Bashar Assad slammed the Arab League on Thursday for giving Syria's seat at the organization's summit to the opposition.
"The Arab League lacks legitimacy. It’s a league that represents the Arab states, not the Arab people, so it can’t grant or retract legitimacy," Assad said in an interview with Turkish media posted on his Facebook page.
Assad also criticized Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, saying Erdogan did not say "a single word of truth since the beginning of the crisis in Syria."
