Barak orders 24 hr closure of W. Bank ahead of Land Day

Defense Minister Ehud Barak instructed the IDF to implement a full closure of the West Bank for a period of 24 hours beginning Thursday at 11:59 p.m., the IDF Spokesman's Office announced Thursday night.
The Civil Administration will allow passage through the West Bank borders during the closure for humanitarian and medical purposes.
The closure was announced ahead of Land Day protests expected to take place on Friday as well as the "Global March to Jerusalem," in which pro-Palestinian activists from neighboring Arab countries have been called on to converge on Israel's borders.
