Car hits J'lem light rail train; no injuries reported

The light rail in Jerusalem was involved in another accident on Thursday morning at the Anatot Junction in northern Jerusalem.
According to CityPass, the company which runs the light rail, a private car made an illegal turn into an area that was closed to private traffic and hit an oncoming train. There were no injuries and traffic resumed around 9:30 AM.
This is the fourth accident involving a private car and the light rail since the beginning of the year when trials started along the entire track, in preparation for the light rail's opening. CityPass and Jerusalem police have stressed the need for drivers to respect the train signals and new traffic patterns. The light rail was scheduled to partially open to the public on April 17 for rides along Jaffa Street, but that was again delayed.
