CBS radio correspondent wounded by bomb in Afghanistan

A CBS Radio News correspondent was seriously injured by a bomb in Afghanistan, a spokesperson for the station said on Friday. Cami McCormick was wounded when the army vehicle she was riding in struck a bomb south of Kabul on Friday. The network could not confirm the extent of her injuries. She was treated at a field hospital, where she was in stable condition after surgery. McCormick was transported to Bagram Air Base, north of Kabul, for more treatment. McCormick is an award-winning New York-based correspondent who has worked for CBS since 1998. The 47-year-old was covering the recent elections in Afghanistan.
