The Chabad Hasidic movement is sending 650 rabbis to its outreach centers around the world to help organizing upcoming mass public Seders, some of which will accommodate up to 1,300 people at a single sitting.
Participants in the program called Roving Rabbis will travel to destinations in 58 countries where they are expected to help rabbis of local Chabad Houses with their preparations.
“The goal of this program is to give every Jew, no matter where he or she may be, the opportunity to participating in a Seder,” Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch who oversees the program, said. "The young rabbis make the Pessah experience accessible, inviting, and relevant to every Jew, everywhere. In furthering that goal, we've significantly increased the scope of the Pessah program this year.”
