Samuel Arthur Silverman, convicted in the United States of sex crimes against minors, was extradited to the US, the Justice Ministry spokesperson's office announced in a statement Thursday.
Silverman was convicted of molesting two children under the age of 14, friends of Silverman's son.
Silverman worked at the time as a social worker and psychologist, specializing in children and teenagers.
The crimes were committed from 1995 to 1996 and fled to Israel in 2001.
US authorities asked Israel for his extradition in 2007.
