Some 171,355 people have registered as unemployed since Israel entered a third coronavirus lockdown, with 2,504 registering as unemployed in the past day, according to Israel's Employment Service.
Approximately 50% of those who registered as unemployed in the last day were fired or quit, with the majority having been fired. Approximately 40% of those who have registered as unemployed since the start of the third lockdown work in education.
