A couple from Baka al-Gharbiya was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of abusing their one-year and two months-old baby, after the baby was brought to Rambam Medical Center with fractures and internal bleeding.
The baby is intubated and sedated and being monitored by hospital staff.
The couple, both in their 20's, had their arrest extended on Tuesday until November 25.
