Dozens demand release of Gilad Farm soldier from IDF jail

Dozens of right-wing protesters amassed outside the IDF@@@s Prison 6 south of Haifa on Saturday night to demand the release of Shimon Weisman, a Kfir Brigade recruit who defected from his unit following the demolition of his home in the Gilad Farm settlement outpost last week.
Weisman on Monday called a press conference and told reporters that after seeing that his home was destroyed, he would not be returning to the army until he was able to rebuild his home. He was sentenced to 30 days in prison and removed from his combat unit following his defection and press conference.
