Dozens of ultra-Orthodox Jews lit tires on Hayarden street in Beit Shemesh on Tuesday, Army Radio reported. They were protesting the arrest of local rabbis on suspicion of embezzlement charges.
Two of the haredim were arrested on the spot and the rest dispersed. The street was cleared and traffic returned to normal.
