Egypt blames Israel for recent power outages

A government official in Egypt has placed blame on Israel for the country's recent power outages, citing a natural gas deal between the two countries, the DPA cited  a report by the independent al-Shorouq on Wednesday.
According to the report, the unnamed Ministry of Electricity official explained that since Egypt began exporting gas to Israel in 2004 as part of an agreement, the amounts of gas used by local Egyptian power plants has decreased.
Egypt has been suffering power outages as a result of the recent soar in temperatures across the Middle East.
