Egypt's military ruler: Sinai's security situation is 100%

Egyptian military ruler Field Marshal Mohammed Hussein Tantawi said Tuesday he was confident that Egypt had military control over the Sinai peninsula, Egyptian Al Ahram reported.
"Sinai's military-security situation is at 100%," Tantawi said.
The Egyptian military ruler stressed that Egypt had "complete control" in the areas stipulated by the peace accords with Israel, which had divided the peninsula into areas A, B, and C, Al Ahram reported.
Tantawi highlighted the importance of Sinai's Beduin helping to maintain security in the peninsula, adding that hiring Beduin was not a new development, but rather one that has passed "through all wars fought by Egypt from the tripartite agression until the the glorious October War fought in 1973."
