Eight starving horses saved from poor conditions

Eight starving horses that were being held in poor conditions at Itzrubal Farm in Horshim Forest were rescued this weekend in a special operation this weekend conducted jointly by the Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry, the Environmental Protection Ministry and the Dan Region Association of Towns official veterinarian.
The horses lived in a compound full of mud, urine and feces and had not been cleaned in quite some time, despite heavy rains, and the last time a veterinarian had visited the site was eight months ago, according to an Agriculture Ministry report. The owner of the farm and his facility is currently under investigation, the report said.
