English soccer club suspended over fake Jewish players

A team in an English Jewish soccer league was suspended recently after league officials discovered it was fielding gentile ringers.
The Holy Mount Zion football club registered at least two players under fake Jewish-sounding names, which was discovered after a referee heard teammates calling them by "non-Jewish names," The Telegraph reported.
In the wake of the incident, the Maccabi League has been thrown into a state of slight disarray as other players' Jewish heritage is being questioned, according to the report.
