Fares to appeal to the Supreme Court

Brig.-Gen. Imad Fares appealed on Monday to the Supreme Court in a last effort to remain in the military.
After being discharged from the IDF by the former Chief of General Staff last April for failure to report the truth about an accident caused by his wife while she was driving his military vehicle, Fares petitioned the District Court to reverse the decision. In February, the court rejected his petition saying that Fares behaved in a matter unbecoming an officer of his rank and that the decision to discharge him was sound.
During the whole time Fares has remained in uniform, his discharge frozen because of the trial.
