Fayyad: Both sides working to create climate for peace

Israel and the Palestinians are looking to create conditions for a process which will end the conflict, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad told prominent US Jewish leaders on Thursday.
Addressing the Conference of Presidents as the leaders paid a visit to Jenin and the Gilboa area, Fayyad said, “I see hope in people’s eyes, I see people smile, I see unity of purpose.” He added that both sides were making efforts to start a political process which would “be capable of bringing about the end of the conflict.”
He stressed that the IDF must stop its military incursions into the West Bank.
