Firefighters rescue 19 children from burning school

Tragedy was avoided on Thursday afternoon when firefighters rescued 19 five-year-old children from a fire that broke out in a school in the Katamon neighborhood of Jerusalem. At first, the firefighters feared the children were trapped inside, but were able to evacuate them all without incident.According to initial investigations, the fire seems to have originated from one of the children who was playing with a lighter in a storage room, and the fire spread to the garden. The kindergarten on the ground floor sustained heavy damage, though the entire building on Horkania Street was evacuated due to fear of smoke inhalation.Three killed in attacks in southern Lebanon - report
