Funeral for IAF pilot killed in crash scheduled for Friday morning

The funeral for Israeli Air Force pilot Major Ohad Cohen, who was killed in a crash landing on Wednesday, was scheduled to take place Friday at 11 a.m. at the cemetery in Moshav Mazur near Rish Lezion, the IDF said Thursday.

The army underlined that Cohen's family has requested no media coverage of the funeral.

The F-161 jet flown by Cohen, which was landing at Ramon Air Force Base in the Negev after conducting an air strike on the Gaza Strip, caught fire on Wednesday. The aircraft's navigator managed to eject from the plane with minor injuries.
